South Korean Girl Group ILLIT Debuts on US Billboard’s “Hot 100” Chart with “Magnetic”

Korean Girl Group ILLIT Makes Billboard “Hot 100” Debut with “Magnetic”

In a historic move for South Korean girl group ILLIT, their debut song “Magnetic” has entered the prestigious Billboard “Hot 100” chart at number 91. The announcement was made by US Billboard through official social media channels on April 15th local time.

“Hot 100” is known for being the most authoritative singles chart in the United States, taking into account physical and digital sales, online media streams, and radio play. It is a rare achievement for non-English artists to make it onto this list, making ILLIT’s debut even more remarkable.

ILLIT joins the ranks of other successful K-POP groups who have graced the “Hot 100” chart, such as Wonder Girls, BTS, BLACKPINK, TWICE, and others. However, ILLIT stands out as the ninth K-POP group to enter the chart, and the first to do so with their debut song.

The success of “Magnetic” doesn’t stop there, as the song has previously topped the charts on major South Korean music platforms and even secured a spot on the UK’s official singles chart for two consecutive weeks.

With three wins on Korean music programs for “Magnetic,” ILLIT is now gearing up for their next promotional track “Lucky Girl Syndrome” from their debut mini-album “SUPER REAL ME.” The music video for “Lucky Girl Syndrome” is set to be released on April 17th Korean time, followed by live performances on music programs starting on the 18th.

As fans eagerly await their upcoming activities, ILLIT’s rapid rise to success on the international music scene marks a significant milestone for the group and the K-POP industry as a whole.
