Stella McCartney Unveils Sustainable Collection at Paris Fashion Week

Fashion designer Stella McCartney showcased her latest collection at Parc André Citroën during Paris Fashion Week, featuring environmentally friendly and innovative designs. The show was attended by Academy Award winners Olivia Colman and Helen Mirren, who joined other environmentalists in reciting a sustainability manifesto broadcast on a live screen.

The collection this season returns to the essence of Stella’s femininity, emphasizing exaggerated proportions and silhouettes while incorporating high-end textures and environmentally friendly technologies. Designs were inspired by Stella’s private wardrobe, daily life, personal collection, and brand DNA, with limited edition items and iconic pieces like the Falabella handbag available for sale immediately after the show.

Soft natural tones, sculptural silhouettes, and dramatic shapes set the tone for the collection, with responsibly sourced materials like recycled wool twill and apple-based vegan leather being used to create unique pieces. The show also featured crocodile-embossed trench coats and skirts made from vegan leather alternatives, along with a focus on sustainable practices throughout the collection.

Highlights of the collection included hourglass tailoring, asymmetrical dresses, and tailored skirts paired with responsible wool blazers. Accessories like the new Falabella handbag, made from recycled cotton terry denim and repurposed materials, showcased McCartney’s commitment to sustainability.

Stella McCartney continues to embody its long-standing commitment to responsible fashion, with 90% of this season’s items made from sustainable materials and free from animal products. The show was supported by Sony, providing a screen made from recycled and sustainable materials for the presentation of the sustainability manifesto.
