Strike Monday in the Subte: there will be rotating strikes from 5 on all lines

by admin

Subway workers issued a statement informing the cessation of activities in a staggered manner, for three hours and will affect all lines. The measure of force, which began in March, is intensifying week by week. The claim is for the reduction of the working day from 36 to 30 hours per week.

A difficult start to the week is expected for subway users. Following last week’s fare increase, the Monday will add the cessation of service. The protests, which began in March and escalated week by week, will affect all subway lines and will be in claim for the reduction of the working day from 36 to 30 weekly hours, the removal of asbestos present in the affected network, the change of the fleet of contaminated units and the reimbursement of the discounts made by the company EMOVA as a consequence of the previous strikes.

From the union they explained that “Emova made arbitrary and illegal discounts on the salaries of more than two hundred workers” expressed the union and added: “For this reason we are forced to take self-defense measures.”

The first increase in the subway this year is in force: how much did the ticket cost?

Emova said that environmental standards are met

Unlike the strikes carried out by the metro delegates, from the Emova company they ratified that the more than 2,500 measurements carried out on air quality in all the work areas of the subway, yield results considered adequate for health.

In its statement released days ago, the company confirmed that “the measurements are carried out constantly and are carried out by specialized institutions and laboratories that were validated by the Environmental Protection Agency of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires. This has been demonstrated and continues to be monitored that the Subway area complies with the conditions required by the regulations that regulate safety at work based on scientific and technical standards”.

Given this new measure that affects all lines, for the moment, Emova did not comment
