ROME – For all cycling enthusiasts the appointment not to be missed is with the first edition of the “Suzuki Bike Day”, scheduled for Saturday 10 July. A great cycling party organized by the Japanese company in Carpegna, in the province of Pesaro and Urbino, which will be attended by sports personalities and well-known TV faces. Davide Cassani, technical director of the national teams and some cycling blues have already announced their participation , and will pedal alongside the members. Along the way and at the Suzuki Village, (in Piazza dei Conti), it will also be possible to meet the Olympic champion Carolina Kostner, several athletes of the short track national team of the Italian Ice Sports Federation and the TV presenter Marco Berry. Suzuki Bike Day is a non-competitive event, sponsored by the Federciclismo and open to enthusiasts of all levels, who will be able to travel along a suggestive track on racing bikes, mountain bikes or e-bikes of all kinds, pedaling in the middle of nature. and respecting the environment. Participants will be divided into two groups that will leave respectively at 9 and 10.30 to tackle the approximately 16 km of the route that will unfold on the border between the Marche and Emilia Romagna facing the famous climb to Mount Carpegna, (difference in altitude of 740 m, maximum slopes of 15%) climbing up to 1,367 meters of altitude.

To allow cyclists to travel the track in total safety and thus enjoy a special day with tranquility, traffic on the roads affected by the event will be interrupted for the entire duration of the event. It should be noted that at the Suzuki Village there will also be an e-bike rental service (subject to availability), for all members who intend to participate in the event but do not have a bicycle. To participate in the Suzuki Bike Day, simply register online by filling out the appropriate form by July 8 and paying a fee starting from 5 euros per person (including various gadgets) while the use of an approved rigid protective helmet is mandatory. The entire registration fee for Suzuki Bike Day will be donated to charity in favor of all road users. The proceeds of the initiative will in fact go entirely to the Michele Scarponi Foundation, which supports projects aimed at education and correct road behavior as well as the dissemination of a culture of respect for the rules. The Foundation is particularly concerned with road safety for cyclists, a theme widely shared by Suzuki, which recently entrusted Davide Cassani with the message “The road belongs to everyone” in a spot dedicated to its 100% hybrid range.
