She grew up learning to drive with her great-grandfather’s old Ford truck and continued honing her skills with her mother. The actress even has a dedicated TikTok account, @syds_garage, where she shares videos of her car restoration projects.
During the pandemic, Sweeney restored a 1969 Ford Bronco, which she later sold and used the money to collaborate with the Dickies brand on a collection of workshop clothing. Not stopping there, the Ford brand itself hired Sweeney to customize a 2024 Mustang GT.
However, recent rumors circulating about Sweeney working with Johnny Depp on a new project have been debunked by the actress herself. Despite speculation that she would star in the film Day Drinker alongside Depp, Sweeney’s representative confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that she is not involved in the project. Instead, Sweeney encouraged her followers to check out her new horror movie, Immaculate, in theaters.
Day Drinker is set in Spain, Portugal, and France, and follows the story of a grieving bartender who meets an enigmatic stranger, exploring themes of love, friendship, and revenge. While Sweeney may not be a part of this particular project, fans can still look forward to seeing her on screen in various upcoming roles.
