Three important days during which doctors and experts in the sector discussed all the news of aesthetic medicine, a sector that, despite the pandemic, has experienced exponential growth. “In order to meet we have postponed from May to July – explains Professor Emanuele Bartoletti, president of Sime – and I must say that there have been many adhesions, even by foreign colleagues”.

The US has christened this phenomenon “zoom boom”: according to ASPS (American Society of Plastic Surgeons) in the months of lockdown there was a 64% increase in requests for aesthetic medicine treatments.

Italy does not deviate from this trend and records a similar surge. The most requested treatments? Fillers in the labial area (+ 42%), zygomatic area (+ 29%), filling of nasal wrinkles (+ 28%) with a distinction of sex and age group.
