“The Bloody Battle at Shenkeng Ridge” Premieres Nationally in Sanming
The national premiere of the red movie “The Battle at Shenkeng Ridge” took place in Sanming, according to a report from Southeast Net. The film, which aims to carry forward and inherit the spirit of the Long March, tells the true historical story of the battle at Shenkeng Ridge.
The Battle at Shenkeng Ridge was a significant victory on the eastern front of the Central Soviet Area during the Red Army’s fifth counter-campaign against “encirclement and suppression”. It played a crucial role in delaying the Kuomintang army’s advance and securing gains for the Central Red Army’s strategic shift, known as the Long March.
The premiere event saw the film’s producer, Chi Shangbo, and the creative team interact with attendees. They shared insights into the making of the film and performed the theme song, “A Hundred Years of Pride”. Producer Chi Shangbo emphasized the film’s tribute to history and the importance of carrying forward the spirit of the Soviet area.
Filming for “The Bloody Battle at Shenkeng Ridge” began in April 2021, with locations including Sanyuan, Taining, and Hengdian. The film is set to be released in theaters nationwide, offering audiences a glimpse into the heroic events that occurred during the Battle at Shenkeng Ridge.
The premiere was attended by officials from the Propaganda Film Management Office of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee and the Propaganda Department of the Sanming Municipal Party Committee, showcasing the significance of the film in showcasing and preserving historical events.
