Exactly thirty years after the publication of “Jack Frusciante left the group” by Enrico Brizzi, readers will finally be able to know what happened to Aidi and the old Alex, starting again from that sultry summer of their separation. HarperCollins Italia has announced that it will publish the sequel to the novel next September, the title of which is still being defined. “Jack Frusciante has left the group” was printed in just 200 copies in the summer of 1994, but within a few months it transformed into an editorial and social phenomenon that exalted and overwhelmed readers throughout Italy.
Now Brizzi has picked up the story right where he left it. «A few months ago – said Brizzi, to whom for years readers and publishers have asked for a sequel to his novel – I was the first to find myself amazed and disturbed by writing about those two again. I’m a prisoner of this rock ‘n’ roll and I can’t do anything about it. Now the text is complete, and in the next few months I will calmly work on the editing.”
