The auction Watches Online: New York , organized by Christie’s and which took place from 9 to 23 March, closed with the collection of 2.335 million dollars (1.97 million euros), with 96% of the 168 lots sold to collectors from around 40 Countries, 42% of which participated in an auction for the first time.
Almost all of the watches performed well compared to initial estimates – top five included. Starting with a 1977 Nautilus Ref. 3700 / 1J in yellow gold Patek Philippe which, with an estimate between 80 and 120 thousand dollars, was eventually assigned to 150 thousand dollars, to then continue with the Richard Mille RM007 2010 in rose gold with diamonds and dial with mother of pearl inserts which, from an estimate between 70 and 90 thousand dollars, was sold at 100 thousand dollars.
