The UCR accused Milei of promoting “generalized incitement to violence”

From the Radical Civic Union they came out to respond to President Javier Milei, after the accusations of traitors for voting against of articles of the Omnibus Law and demanded that he stop “inciting violence against those who think differently.”

“The President took charge of an operation loaded with disqualifications and grievances against deputies that did not accompany some articles of the vote in particular in the treatment of the omnibus law,” the UCR began.

In a statement, the party led by national senator Martín Lousteau noted that “in a press conference abroad” he called them “set of criminals”.

“There is a generalized incitement to violence against those who think differently that must end. Having the courage to undertake reforms does not imply insulting, shouting and thinking that only one is right. Nor is it being cruel with insults against those who express different opinions,” the party stressed.

“None of this is what Raúl Alfonsín taught us when he refounded democracy. Argentina needs temperance and balance to achieve consensus that survive over time and definitively resolve the problems we face. “That is the way out of the crisis,” added radicalism.

Milei published a list of the names of the deputies who voted for and against some articles of the Base Law, despite the fact that many of them had followed the general norm.

In addition, he highlighted the role and thanked the presidents of the PRO blocks, Cristian Ritondo, and of Hacemos Coalión Federal, Miguel Ángel Pichetto, for their support.

From Israel, Milei also assured that the legislative defeat was “sought” to expose the “traitors.”
