Disney+ Drama “Murder’s Mall” Receives Rave Reviews, Lead Actor Lee Dong-wook Praised for Handsome Appearance
The recently released drama “Murder’s Mall” on Disney+ has been receiving rave reviews from viewers, with many praising the handsome appearance of lead actor Lee Dong-wook. Based on the novel of the same name by Korean writer Kang Ji-young, the drama tells the story of female college student Zheng Ji-an who learns that her uncle runs a mysterious shopping mall after his sudden death.
The lead actor, Lee Dong-wook, has been recognized for his stylish and handsome portrayal of the character “Jung Jin Wan,” despite the original description of the character in the novel being vastly different. In the novel, the character is described as bald, with thick eyebrows, chickenpox scars, and a provocative appearance.
Director Li Quan revealed that the decision to cast Lee Dong-wook was due to the inability to find an actor who matched the original “uncle” image from the novel. Additionally, the director added a scene from the character’s past, where he felt the character should be portrayed as handsome and strong in combat, making Lee Dong-wook the most suitable candidate.
The writer of the novel expressed surprise at Lee Dong-wook’s casting and explained the challenge of incorporating the actor’s appearance into the second part of the novel. The second part of the novel was published last year, and the trailer for the third part was released this year.
Despite the success of the live-action adaptation, there is currently no news about the production of a second season. Fans are eagerly awaiting updates on the future of the drama series.
