He Memory, Truth and Justice Meeting (EMVyJ) ratified this Thursday the holding of a single march next March 24th. The call will have as its main axis the “rejection of the policy of the government headed by Javier Milei y Victoria Villarruel«, whom they identified as «apologists for the last military civic dictatorship«.
“From this space from which mobilizations have been called every March 24 independently of all governments and the State since 1996 to date, we propose to the entire population and human rights organizations to promote a unitary mobilization and organize an event in the Plaza de Mayo in which two documents are read in order to guarantee the broadest unity in the streets and express different opinions,” the Meeting indicated in a statement.
In this way, the organizations and political parties that are part of the EMVyJ also expressed that “a massive action is necessary that makes it clear that There are 30,000 “detainees-disappeared” for the last dictatorship, “which was a genocide and that we continue fighting in the streets against the impunity of yesterday and today, as we did during these years and against each of the governments,” they stated.
“We have to be millions in the streets of the entire country to defeat the repressive protocol of (Security Minister, Patricia) Bullrich and continue the rejection of its adjustment policy and delivery that was already expressed in a general strike and the mobilizations that repudiated the “omnibus law”, as the Bases Law project was also called, the Meeting highlighted.
In the statement, the EMVyJ stated that it will mobilize on March 24 for the following demands: “There are 30 thousand”; “It was genocide”; “Enough of impunity”; “No to paying the debt”; “Out with the IMF”, “Down with the reactionary plan of adjustment and repression of Milei and the governors”; “Opening of the archives from 74 to 83”; “Trials and punishment of all genocidaires”; “Perpetual and effective common prison”; “Restitution of the identity of all appropriate boys and girls”; “Down with the Bullrich and DNU protocol”; and “Strike and struggle plan of the union confederations”.
