Tony Succar Expresses Frustration with Municipality of San Isidro After Concert Cancellation

Tony Succar, a renowned musician and winner of two Latin Grammys, recently expressed his disappointment and anger with the Municipality of San Isidro after the sudden cancellation of a concert that was scheduled to take place in the town. In a video published on TikTok, Tony shared his frustration with the organization’s decision to cancel the event just 48 hours before it was supposed to take place.

According to Tony, the municipality cited budget constraints as the reason for the cancellation, claiming that the sound demands for the concert exceeded the established budget. Tony, who had been looking forward to performing at the event, was deeply saddened by the last-minute decision.

Adding to the frustration was the fact that Tony’s mother was in Peru to celebrate his grandfather’s birthday when the municipality contacted her to participate in the district event. However, just days before the concert, they were informed that it had been cancelled, leaving Tony and his family disappointed and frustrated.

Despite attempting to communicate with municipal officials to resolve the situation, Tony found it difficult to reach decision-makers and felt that important decisions were made without considering the impact on artists and event organizers.

In his video message, Tony also highlighted a larger issue with event organization in Peru, noting that frequent cancellations like this one are not common in places like Miami, where he currently resides. He expressed his commitment to making things more fair for artists and event organizers in Peru and emphasized the need for better communication and transparency in the industry.
