The sacai 2024 autumn/winter men’s/autumn women’s collection made its debut at Paris Fashion Week, showcasing designer Chitose Abe’s return to the purest expression of silhouette. The collection is inspired by the concept of unity, using “uniform” as the basis for the designs.
The looks for this season feature a monochromatic style, with rounded silhouettes and elongated sleeves. Patchwork based on vertical lines and zippers as embellishments add a unique touch to the garments. The uniforms have been reorganized and presented in watercolor tones, reflecting a gentler and softer side of the clothing. Knitwear patterns have been transformed into wovens and sequins, creating new vertical forms. The menswear silhouette includes ultra-loose trousers, flight jackets, and shirts.
Notably, the collection also includes the artwork of contemporary street skateboarding pioneer Mark Gonzales, integrated into the long-loved Spiewak G8 jacket through a series of badges. This collaboration marks a new partnership for sacai. Additionally, JM WESTON golf derby shoes and work boots have been redesigned with sacai’s iconic sneaker soles.
