The Union of Health Workers (UTS) and staff members of the ATE will lead a protest this Tuesday morning at the Health Pole. The march seeks the reinstatement of discharged personnel.
Through a statement, the unions that will demonstrate starting at 10, expressed: “We are neither useless nor lazy. Public health workers provide quality service. They took maternity leaves as ‘absenteeism’, they violated labor rights… to justify private management in public hospitals. Companies and businessmen making profits at the expense of our work. Strike on January 9 and restitution of all health workers.”
In turn, staff from the Public Employees Union (SEP) will hold a demonstration for the dismissals of employees hired in different areas of the provincial Government.
They will gather from 10 at their headquarters in the capital of Cordoba (Corro and Duarte Quirós streets) and will march to the Cathedral where they will be received by Father Munir Bracco, from the Social Pastoral.
“It is to ask for all the colleagues who are in a critical situation and to reinstate those who have been unjustly discharged,” the head of the SEP, Sergio Castro, told Cadena 3.
