Amazon Prime Video has released the first official teaser trailer for the much-anticipated new 2022 series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.

The play tells about the legends of the “Rings of Power” before “The Lord of the Rings”. The first season project budget is as high as 465 million US dollars, known as the most expensive American drama in history! For the first time, the show will showcase the heroic saga in the history of the Second Age of Middle-earth. The story is set thousands of years before the events of Tolkien’s “The Hobbit” and “Lord of the Rings”, and will bring audiences back to the strong Times, kingdoms rise and fall, humble heroes are put to the test, hope hangs on a thin line, and Tolkien’s most powerful villain threatens to cover the world with darkness. Starting from a relatively peaceful era, the show tells the story of a group of old and new faces facing the re-emergence of evil forces in Middle-earth. From the darkest depths of the Misty Mountains, to the sprawling forests of the elven capital of Lindon, to the breathtaking island kingdom of Númenor, and the furthest places on the map. Forged by mighty power, kingdoms rise to glory and fall to dust, unexpected heroes are put to the test, hope hangs in the thin line, and Tolkien’s most powerful villain is about to darken all worlds.

The show is scheduled for five seasons! It has been renewed for a second season, with a total of 8 episodes in the first season. The highly anticipated first season of The Lord of the Rings: The Ring of Power will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories around the world on Friday, September 2, in multiple languages, with new episodes broadcast weekly.
