Xiao Huangqi Celebrates Mother’s Day with “Good Show” Concert in Taipei
“The King of Golden Melody” Xiao Huangqi delighted fans at Taipei’s Huashan Legacy with his “Good Show” new song concert of the “Praise Series” on May 12th, coinciding with Mother’s Day. The singer jokingly informed the audience that he would have to wrap up by 7:30 pm as many musicians on stage had plans for a Mother’s Day dinner.
During the concert, Xiao Huangqi performed new songs such as “It’s Okay”, “Just Lonely”, and “Good Show”, inviting his brother’s daughter to dance on stage during the latter. The surprise appearance of the “Aboriginal Girl” from the MV added to the excitement, with the entire audience joining in the fun.
The singer also humorously mentioned his role as a driver in the recently released MV for “It’s Okay”, offering his car as a ‘getaway vehicle’ to the audience. As the performance fell on Mother’s Day, Xiao Huangqi dedicated a special “Mom Suite” of songs like “Listen to Mom” and “Mom Please Take Care” to celebrate the occasion.
Emotion ran high as Xiao Huangqi thanked his mother, who was present at the concert, for her unwavering support throughout his career. Singing “My Mother’s Love Song” to her, he expressed gratitude for her sacrifices and expressed his love in a touching moment.
The concert ended with the heartfelt song “You Are My Eyes”, leaving the audience filled with appreciation for Xiao Huangqi’s talent and the joy of celebrating Mother’s Day together.
