126 New Residents Begin Specialization Training in Almería Health Centers

Health centers in the province of Almería welcome 126 new residents for specialization

A total of 126 new residents have recently joined the health centers in the province of Almería to begin their period of specialization in hospitals and Primary Care centers. Among the new residents, 116 will start their training as doctors in various specialties, while 10 will begin their training as nurses.

The Almería Health District was the first to welcome the new residents, with a total of 15 residents in Family and Community Medicine and four in Family and Community Nursing, who will also undergo training at the Torrecárdenas University Hospital. Similarly, the North Almería Health Management Area has incorporated four Family and Community Medicine residents, two Family and Community Nursing residents, and a midwife for training in Primary Care centers and the La Inmaculada Hospital.

In addition, the Poniente Sanitary District received six Family and Community Medicine residents and three Nursing residents, who will also rotate through the Poniente University Hospital. A total of 16 residents will join their training at the hospital in various specialties including Clinical Analysis, Anesthesiology and Resuscitation, Orthopedic Surgery, Obstetric Gynecological Nursing, and more.

The Torrecárdenas University Hospital will welcome 75 new residents next Monday, including individuals specializing in Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Physics, Psychology, and Biology. This promotion also includes the first resident in Nuclear Medicine and the first in Radiophysics. The new residents are expected to make significant contributions to the healthcare system in Almería as they continue their training and education.
