Alcampo Achieves Welfair Certification for Meat Workshops
Alcampo, a leading company in the food industry, has recently obtained animal welfare certification under the Welfair seal for the meat workshops of its hypermarkets. This certification applies to the areas where the meat is cut, packaged, and labeled daily by a team of professional professionals.
The Cesaraugusta Meat Industry, which is owned by Alcampo and responsible for preparing meat for distribution to stores, has also received this certification. The company has worked closely with 11 suppliers and 300 farms that produce high-quality beef and pork products under the Cultivamos lo Bueno program. These products include Angus and Villa del Monte brand beef, as well as own brand suckling pig and Duroc pork, all of which are certified under this program.
Customers can find Welfair Quality certified Villa del Monte beef on the shelves of supermarkets, predominantly sourced from the Cesaraugusta Meat Industry. Alcampo has been transparent about its animal welfare policy since 2020, setting specific commitments until 2026 and regularly updating its compliance level.
