The video message from Anonymous to Elon Musk, the American businessman who heads Tesla and SpaceX, has been viewed two million times on YouTube. The team of hackers and activists, known among other things for launching cyber attacks against ISIS in the past, berated Musk for his recent tweets on cryptocurrencies: memes, images, cryptic phrases and corporate statements that have discredited the Bitcoin market, causing severe losses in some cases. “Your games have destroyed lives,” Anonymous says in the approximately four-minute video on this page, referring to the lives of investors who have put their faith in cryptocurrencies. In his video Anonymous is not limited to this criticism. Indeed, the whole initial part is a blatant attack on Elon Musk’s entrepreneurial career. The clip closes with a threat: “You may think you are the smartest of all, but now you’ve found someone who can stand up to you. We’re Annonymous, wait for us.”
