Many websites will add the ReCAPTCHA verification function when filling out forms and registering accounts. In the iOS 16 Beta version, an “Automatic Verification” feature was found, and its description showed “Allows iCloud to automatically and privately verify devices and accounts to bypass CAPTCHA for apps and websites.”
After the “automatic verification” function is turned on in iOS 16, when an app or website needs to be verified with “I am not an automatic program”, iCloud will be responsible for completing the answer, so users don’t need to worry about it.
Users can find the “Automatic Verification” function in “Settings” -> Apple ID -> “Password & Security”.
The reporter from ezone.hk went to the Safari browser of iPadOS 16 Beta, went to the Google ReCAPTCHA demo website, checked “I am not an automatic program”, and then passed the test. However, another test website, Google reCAPTCHA test, still jumped out of the image recognition verification.
This feature appears to be still in the developmental stage, pending further learning by the robot.
