Astrazeneca, what are the risks if I have had the Covid vaccine? Company sued several times, what do we know

AstraZeneca has withdrawn the Covid vaccine from around the world and earlier this week the European Commission announced that the vaccine, developed by the pharmaceutical company in collaboration with the University of Oxford, is no longer authorized for use. The news follows a court case in which AstraZeneca was sued by more than 50 alleged victims and relatives, alleging serious injury or death due to a very rare side effect that occurred during the vaccine rollout. Overall the case has been linked to at least 81 dead and hundreds injured UK only

It was December 2020. It is now almost three and a half years since the vaccine was first approved for use in the UK. And while its important role in containing the vast number of hospitalizations and deaths due to Covid-19 is widely recognized, open questions remain about why it appears to have led to sudden death or permanent injury in a small minority of people.
