The new Community House will be located in a building dell’Asp Charity granted for free use as a surface right to the Local Health Authority of Modena. The project was illustrated this morning in the presence of the Mayor of Modena Gian Carlo Muzzarelli, the General Director of the Local Health Authority of Modena Anna Maria Petrini, the engineer Ilaria Bajesi solely responsible for the project for the Local Health Authority of Modena, the Director of the Health District Andrea Spanò from Modena, the president of the ASP – Charitas Mauro Rebecchi.
The facility will offer citizens essential health and social-health services such as the sampling point, the community nurse’s clinic, the single booking and basic assistance point (formerly Cup-Saub) to which to refer, for example, for prosthetic assistance and the choice or change of doctor , the vaccination clinic, the clinics for specialist visits dedicated to the most common pathologies such as cardiology, pneumology, diabetology, the clinics of general practitioners and paediatricians of free choice. It will be a Community House characterized by multidisciplinary teams and will be able to offer diagnostic services for monitoring chronicity with basic diagnostic instrumentation (for example ultrasound, electrocardiograph) and activate telemedicine paths for chronic patients. Like the others throughout the province, the Community House in the former Charitas will also be a point of reference for the promotion of health and for the dissemination of correct lifestyles thanks to the Community Nurse.
The structure will be adjacent to the Asp headquarters and will be accessed by entering via Fratelli Rosselli at number 396. In the part of the building granted for the construction of the Community House, the USL Company will carry out a complex and detailed renovation intervention on the basis of a project, approved by the Region, which will be carried out in two phases. The first phase will begin in the first half of 2025 and will approximately end in mid-2027 with the opening of the Community House and services for citizens. The second part of the works will then be carried out which will allow for a further expansion and completion of the Community House which, when fully operational, will have an area of over two thousand square meters distributed over four floors, of which three are intended for services and the top floor for employee service areas. The total cost of the works amounts to 5.3 million euros of which 4.9 million in state and regional funding and 400 thousand euros in mortgages taken out by ASL Modena.
