Avian flu in dairy farms in the USA: should we worry here too?

The recent confirmation by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) of the detection of a Strain A (H5N1) of pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in dairy herds in several states, including Texas, Kansas, Michigan , New Mexico and Idaho has raised considerable concern and raised some questions about the implications of this event, as avian influenza rarely infects cattle.
