Balenciaga continues to expand its footprint around the world, not only opening a flagship store on New Bond Street, a famous shopping street in London, but also landing in Saint-Tropez, France this time, officially setting up its first store in the Cote d’Azur region of Provence.
Under the helm of creative director Demna Gvasalia, Balenciaga debuted an original architectural design in September 2021, renovating stores around the concept with the aim of infusing the current experience with a sense of both temporality and timelessness.
The interior uses materials such as glass, concrete and stainless steel to present a cool-toned space, featuring an apocalyptic perspective and industrial style; the exterior uses warm tones to incorporate local flavors, contrasting with the deconstructed texture of the interior. Balenciaga’s latest store has officially opened for operation, and interested readers may wish to take the opportunity to make a pilgrimage.
