The initiative unites 21 European countries, including Ukraine, involving 76 partners and over 300 public health experts. It lasts four years and involves the implementation of 142 pilot studies aimed at reaching over one million European citizens affected by these conditions. As part of the presentation of the first Report Italiano sulle Cardiomyopathy, Marco Silano, director of the Department of Cardiovascular, Endocrine-Metabolic Diseases and Aging of the Istituto Superiore di SanitĆ , explains the objectives of the Jacardi project (Joint Action on Cardiovascular Diseases and Diabetes) which also includes the establishment of a national register of cardiomyopathies.
