Work on the fitness trail along the cycle path has begun. jy, the area bordering the Rapido river will be equipped with 18 tools located along the track for a length of one and a half kilometers. The intervention is free of charge for the Municipality by virtue of an agreement between the Department of Public Works and the Parco dei Monti Aurunci which has provided the tools and will also take care of their implementation.
“This is an extra attraction, explains the councilor for Public Works, Francesco Carlino in one of the busiest areas of the city for physical activity, also possible in the evening as we installed the lighting system along the route .
This will allow many, engaged in work during the day, to be able to use it in the evening hours. It is our task, even in this sector, to bring our city to the level of the most advanced and modern ones ».
The intervention and support of the Parco dei Monti Aurunci is fundamental that with a resolution that shared the project of the Municipality by making a contribution of 5,000 euros available. The costs for the construction of both the fitness path and the outdoor classroom are borne by the Park Authority while the commitments borne by the Municipality, provided for in the agreement, relate to the ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of the structures as well as the cleaning of the areas. and are, therefore, guaranteed with the resources allocated in the budget for the Technical Area – Maintenance Service.
