Robert Koch, managing director of the Bad Berka Central Clinic, is leaving the company at the end of February at his own request and on the best of mutual terms.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to thank Robert Koch very much for his extraordinary commitment and successful long-term cooperation,” says Dr. Stefan Stranz, member of the board of RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG. “He made a big difference and played a major role in ensuring that the Bad Berka Central Clinic can continue to maintain its position as one of the most renowned clinics in Germany. I regret this decision and wish him only the very best for his private and professional future.”

Robert Koch has been managing director of the Bad Berka Central Clinic since 2018. Under his leadership, a third state-of-the-art internal intensive care unit was built and converted, various modernization measures were carried out, including the emergency center, radiological diagnostics and the paraplegic center, the establishment of the new geriatric rehabilitation clinic and the continuous expansion of cardiac medicine and outpatient health care. In addition, he succeeded in recruiting nationally renowned senior physicians for the Thuringian clinic.

“The decision to leave the Central Clinic was not easy for me. I would like to thank my team, all colleagues and partners who accompanied and supported me. I have always enjoyed our joint work for the benefit of our patients. After almost six After years and many exciting projects, now is a good time to dedicate myself to new professional challenges,” explains Robert Koch.

Mario Shoulder (50) will take over management from March 1, 2024.
