Interferons are a family of proteins produced by our body in response to bacterial, viral or cancer infections. A recent Brazilian study showed that a single administration of interferon in those at risk of hospitalization in the first 7 days of symptoms from Covid19 reduced the risk of ending up in hospital in half.
