PNY XLR8 RGB DDR4-4600 memory
American PNY launched the XLR8 Gaming series to enter the gaming market, and recently launched a new RGB memory product “XLR8 RGB DDR4 memory”, equipped with a specially designed and unique style of XLR 8 heat sink, equipped with RGB favorites for gaming players The light effect soft light belt supports the lighting effect synchronization software of the four major motherboard manufacturers. It also supports Intel XMP 2.0 technology. The highest specification also releases the DDR4-4600 MHz overclocking module. Players who are interested in overclocking can give it a try.
The product packaging is quite concise. The upper right corner shows the memory specifications. The 16GB version of DDR4-4600MHz CL19 will be launched or introduced to Hong Kong by a few brands on the market. The high-end overclocking memory models introduced by the agency this time give the author infinite thoughts.
The bottom shows the RGB lighting synchronization software that supports the four major motherboard manufacturers. The back is the detailed specifications of the memory, and then the place of production of the memory…Taiwan!
The radiator of PNY “XLR8 RGB” series of memory has a simple exterior design, using 3D geometric design to increase the surface area of the radiator and enhance the heat dissipation effect. At the same time, it is equipped with an LED light guide design to cater to the current hardware light pollution trend.
A thick white light guide strip is added to the top of the memory, which makes the light effect distribution quite uniform and the brightness is quite sufficient. However, the XLR8 RGB heat sink adopts a V-shaped design, and the center will have a slight graininess but not obvious.

The test sample sent by the factory this time is the PNY XLR8 RGB DDR4-4600 16GB Kit, the model is MD16GK2D4460019XRGB, the timing specification is DDR4-19-26-26-46, the working voltage is 1.5V, and it is mainly for the 11th generation Intel Core CPU and AMD Zen 3 processor was born. Although the operating voltage is high, it is actually for compatibility. In fact, advanced users can manually adjust it a bit to reduce waste heat.
Using SK-HYNIX DJR particles
The PNY XLR8 RGB DDR4-4600 16GB Kit module uses JEDEC 10 Layers A2 PCB trace design, and the addition of 2oz copper-plated circuit board helps to enhance thermal conductivity, reduce electrical resistance, and make the transmitted signal clearer and cleaner. Stable operation under the pulse and improved clock overclocking space, the PCB has a total of 8 SK HYNIX DJR memory particles on one side, numbered “H5AN8NDJR-VKC”.
The first H stands for Hynix Memory, 5 stands for DRAM products, A stands for DDR4-SDRAM system memory, N stands for VDD & VDDQ voltage is 1.2V, the table capacity is 8Gb (1Gb x 8) particles, 8 stands for (1Gb x 8) ), N stands for Non-TSV, D stands for the 5th generation Revision D-Die, J stands for Flip Chip package, R stands for lead-free and halogen-free, and XNC stands for DDR4-3200 CL 22-22-22 particles.
Demonstration of lighting effects:
PNY XLR8 RGB DDR4-4600 CL19 lighting demonstration, a thick light guide strip is added to the top, with 8 zones, 8 LED lighting effect control, and a thick light guide strip at the top, the effect is quite good, due to the heat sink It uses a V-shaped design with a slight graininess in the center.
Performance test:
The test platform uses ASUS ROG Maximus XIII Extreme Glacial motherboard with Intel Core i9-11900K processor, and the operating system uses Microsoft Windows 10. Each set of memory settings must be tested by RunMemTest Pro* to be tested successfully. SK Hynix DJR is used. Particles, the overclocking space of DJR particles on the clock is higher than that of the previous generation CJR particles. The factory default DDR4-4600 MHz proves that the memory quality of this group will not be bad, so our goal will be DDR4-5000+.
Without adjusting the timing and operating voltage, 1.5V can exceed DDR4-4800 CL19-26-26-46. At this time, it is still the default CL value. Since Intel 11th Gen does not have a DDR4-5000MHz frequency divider ratio, we Directly challenged DDR4-5066MHz. In the face of high frequency, the timing must be increased to CL20-30-30-50 before it can be successfully booted. The voltage is still maintained at 1.5V. The ultimate test, and finally successfully exceeded DDR4-5333MHz CL20-31-31 -31, the voltage is increased to 1.8V, and the overclocking performance is quite satisfactory.

Lin Zi comment:
PNY “XLR8 RGB DDR4-4600MHz 16GB Kit” if you simply look at the product specifications, it is easy to misunderstand that it is a product of Samsung B die, but in the actual test, it is found that it uses the strongest SK Hynix DJR in the current overclocking memory. It’s not in the pool anymore. It’s not difficult to match the latest Intel 11th Gen processors to surpass DDR4-5000Mhz. Recently, Felton Distrubution has officially become PNY’s agent. Please continue to look forward to it.

Please post full overclock adjustments for 5333mhz. My system cannot even be stable with stock XMP profile.
My system can do success boot with stock XMP 4600 profile, but it is unstable on windows and when i test it with TM5 and i get errors.
I can get stable system using XMP and manually set 4400
Im using Asus Z690 P d4
i5 12600k
