Devolver Digital’s new independent work “Trek to Yomi” seems to be a love letter to Akira Kurosawa and will be available on PC and consoles on multiple platforms

The Devolver Digital press conference may be the most exciting E3 event so far this year, despite its relatively short length and only a few announcements.

One of the public games is called Trek to Yomi (Temporary Translation, Trek to Yomi), which was jointly developed by Leonard Menchiari and Flying Wild Dog. This work will be officially listed on platforms such as PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series S/X and Xbox One in 2022. In order to follow the agreement with the fallen teacher, a young swordsman vowed to protect his hometown and loved ones from threats. Faced with all the tragedies and heavy responsibilities on his shoulders, the lonely samurai exiled himself at the border of life and death, faced himself honestly and made every choice in the process of progress.

This game looks like a true love letter to the well-known Japanese film director Akira Kurosawa, because it uses a black and white filter to make it very distinctive and capture motion in a unique way. Now the game Steam page is online, you can check it out.
