Electronic prescriptions: confirmed by April 30th to continue receiving them

Citizens in Lombardy Urged to Confirm Electronic Prescription Preferences by April 30th

Next April 30th is an important deadline for those in Lombardy who wish to continue receiving electronic prescriptions via their smartphones. As of that date, individuals who have not renewed their preferences will no longer receive SMS or emails related to the service. This also applies to those who had previously activated the service, as it is necessary to confirm their choice to receive prescriptions in electronic format.

This news follows an update to the notification system within the electronic health record (EHR). While the renewal process is simple, time is of the essence as the deadline is fast approaching.

Lombard citizens have multiple options to confirm or activate the service. They can do so independently online or by contacting branches, general practitioners, or pharmacies. Recent weeks have seen individuals accessing their online health records receiving notifications via a warning window on their screens prompting them to review their choices.

To renew or activate the service independently, individuals can visit Fasciolo online, access the “Profile and Settings” section after authentication, and select which alerts and updates on health services they wish to receive, whether it be through SMS or email. This selection extends beyond electronic prescriptions to include the uploading of new documents to their file and updates on their healthcare.

For those unable to access the online system, they can confirm their preferences by contacting authorized counters at the relevant Asst, their general practitioner, or pediatrician (for minors), or at pharmacies by April 30th.
