Emergency medicine, Simeu: “The emergency room is a receptacle for patients who cannot find hospital beds”

During the event organized by the Forum of the 75 Scientific Societies of Italian Hospital and University Clinicians, the president of the Italian Emergency Society (Simeu), Fabio De Iaco, explained that the ratio between healthcare workers and patients is often 1 to 15 and this is one of the main reasons for burnout and then the flight of workers from the NHS.
