Empoli, June 14, 2021 – From today the hospital in Empoli closed all wards of ordinary medicine Covid. The news is confirmed by the ASL Toscana Centro, which however makes it known that five people remain hospitalized for Coronavirus infection in the intensive care unit.
The Empolese hospital, which before the pandemic did not have an infectious disease ward, arrived during the second wave to have up to 120 people hospitalized in the ordinary Covid area and 22 in intensive care. The trend of hospitalizations has dropped with the decline of infections: in Empoli, today, only four new cases of Coronavirus positivity are reported.
