Tragedy Strikes as Infrastructure Manager Dies Before Team’s Departure

A somber mood has enveloped the football team as they prepare to face off against Andrea Pirlo’s Sampdoria in Piacenza today. The team’s infrastructure manager, Pier Antonio Granti, tragically fell seriously ill and passed away shortly thereafter. The devastating incident occurred yesterday at around 4.30pm at the Turina Stadium in Salò.

Upon discovering Granti’s condition, team doctors sprang into action while awaiting further assistance. Emergency services swiftly arrived at the scene, with an ambulance from Odolo volunteers and an air ambulance from Brescia rushing to Granti’s aid. Despite their best efforts, the 62-year-old was transported to the Civil Police in Brescia in critical condition.

Despite the best efforts of medical professionals at Civile, Granti’s condition continued to deteriorate, ultimately resulting in his passing late in the evening. The loss of Pier Antonio Granti has left a profound impact on the team and the football community as a whole.

As they continue to mourn the loss of their colleague and friend, the team will undoubtedly carry heavy hearts into today’s match. Our thoughts and condolences go out to Granti’s family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.
