Fertility, problems for one in six people: what the WHO data say

Around one in six people globally will be affected by infertility in their lifetime, according to the latest estimates from the World Health Organization (WHO). According to new report just published summarizing a decade’s data, the problem affects approximately 17.5% of the adult population and there is therefore an “urgent need” to increase access to affordable, high-quality fertility care for those who need it, says WHO.
