Filling the lack of resources thanks to in-company training

Filling the lack of resources thanks to in-company training

Physiologically dynamic and changeable, technology runs at twice the speed compared to the classic training offer which, by its nature, can only fulfill, often very well, its role as builder of a basic knowledge, however essential.

Thus, the training courses organized by companies specialized in technology grow, which often create a complete and truly innovative offer. The choice to focus on training, then, has a double value. If, in fact, it directs young talent towards the most current issues, at the same time it prepares them for an insertion in the company without surprises.

Salesforce’s Digital Talent Factory

Salesforce, world leader in technology for business collaboration and the management of the company-customer relationship, has always focused on training courses. And, according to an IDC study, the effort will be rewarded by Salesforce’s socio-economic impact in Italy. The Salesforce Economy, in fact, will generate 34 billion dollars in new turnover and 93,300 new jobs between 2021 and 2026. An ambitious commitment but possible thanks above all to its commitment to training.

22% of the new jobs created in Italy among Salesforce customers this year require significant digital skills, such as the use of automation technology tools, Internet of Things (IoT) and other complex applications. This is why the American company is relaunching by rearranging its offer Digital Talent Factory in the only Talent Ecosystem hub, where it offers a vast choice of courses, almost always free.

Courses for everyone collected in the Talent Ecosystem

The Salesforce Talent Ecosystem includes Trailhead, a free and accessible e-learning platform where you can obtain the skills necessary to enter the ecosystem, complete with a mentor and detailed planning path. There is also a sort of configurator to define the route based on the basic preparation and one’s aptitudes. Afterwards, we immediately start with the first certification on the Salesforce world.

The paths, on the other hand, are developed in three directions: University Paths, Salesforce Academy, Generation Italy. The first is the result of a collaboration started three years ago between Salesforce Italy and about twenty Italian universities and which has already led to the training of over 3 thousand students.

The Salesforce Academy, also created in collaboration with partners, aims to concretely contribute to the creation of new job opportunities for young graduates and high school graduates. While, the program Generation Italy aims to train new developers with a 14-week course.

Together with Generation Italy, a non-profit foundation founded by McKinsey & Company to help reduce unemployment, Salesforce focuses on training 18-29 year olds to introduce them to the Salesforce developer profession. The course is free and does not include any previous knowledge of software development or Salesforce technologies, but only a strong motivation to start a professional career in this sector. At the end of the course, each of the selected students will be guaranteed an interview with companies looking for Salesforce developers.

While an industry perpetually hungry for professionalism, software development isn’t the only one where Salesforce puts effort and resources. In the Digital Talent Factory there is a course for (almost) everyone: from business development to new cloud technologies, from marketing to pre-sales to customer care and administration of Salesforce platforms.

Inclusiveness projects and coding

But there is also room for special inclusiveness projects such as, for example, the one that arises from the collaboration with Specialisterne Italy, an innovative social business concept founded in Denmark in 2004 by Thorkil Sonne, father of an autistic boy. Specialisterne is internationally recognized as the first and most effective example of the real advantage that can be obtained when creating the ideal conditions for bringing out the talents of people on the autism spectrum.

The Salesforce Academy of Specialisterne Italia is a free 16-week training program dedicated to autistic people who want to start an IT career as a Salesforce Developer, Administrator or Marketers. Also in this case, the Academy’s goal is to train candidates to achieve placement with a Salesforce Business Partner after passing the related final interviews, prepared with their coach and the Specialisterne Team. The collaboration with Vetforce to help former soldiers who need to retrain in the world of work follows similar ideals. The latest initiative is the Salesforce Academy of Develhope, the coding school that has no enrollment costs and aims to combat youth unemployment, especially in Southern Italy. Also in this case we talk about development, but also about offering a free job opportunity in particular areas of our country.
