Attentive fans reported that Square Enix plans to remove the classic versions of “Final Fantasy V” and “Final Fantasy VI” from Steam. The Steam page of these two games now reminds everyone that both titles will be removed from the shelves on July 27th, and fans are encouraged to buy when the upcoming reissue of the pixel is released.

If you don’t know, the Pixel Reissue was made public for the first time at Square Enix’s E3 press conference this year. It is only released for PC and mobile device platforms, and is a version with better visual effects. The release date of these remakes has not yet been announced, but it should not be too long after the classic versions of “Final Fantasy V” and “Final Fantasy VI” are off the shelves.
