It is almost unbelievable the quantity of food that has been withdrawn from the market both on the urgent call of the Ministry of Health and by direct intervention by the manufacturer itself. It is now the turn of another highly commercialized food in Italy. The health risk is very high.
The reporting started from the newspaper The food fact, it came directly from the Ministry of Health. It is a highly widespread product which contains a potential allergen that is not correctly declared on the label.
The manufacturing company was reported by the Ministry for having omitted in the label the declaration of the presence of peanuts, a potential and powerful allergen. It is therefore risky, especially for people with an allergy to dried fruit and in particular to peanuts, to take this food. The health consequences could be serious. In fact, you could run into possible skin rashes, more or less severe, and problems with the respiratory system with asthma attacks that can also lead to anaphylactic shock.
The Revolution gluten-free puff pastry mix recalled by the Ministry of Health
The company affected by the recall is Revolution SRL, based in the factory in Strada Battifoglia in the hamlet of Sant’Andrea delle Fratte, in the province of Perugia. The Umbrian industry has put on the market a preparation for leaf paste; precisely a Revolution brand gluten-free puff pastry mix. The product label does not correctly indicate the presence of the peanut allergen.
Affected by the recall are the packs in bags of 500 grams, with batch number 180222 and expiration date, beyond which it is not recommended to consume the product, set at February 18, 2023. Buyers are warned to pay particular attention to the products purchased to avoid unpleasant health problems. It should be noted, however, that non-allergic people cannot encounter any type of problem by taking the mix for puff pastry.
In addition to the pastry also a supplement withdrawn from the market
It is in these days that the Ministry of Health has also ordered a further withdrawal from the trade. This is theReumilase SD dietary supplement by Neopharmed Gentile. The problem encountered is due to the glucuronic acid component sodium salt, not mentioned in the list of the Ministry of Health among the substances with a nutritional and physiological effect. The supplement sold in packs of 15 vials of 10 Ml with the lot number V10379 and the expiry date at 11/30/2023.
We sincerely hope that this will be the last of the products to which the marketing stop is imposed also because it has been too long that consumers have been on the alert for the continuous discoveries about the dangerous differences in food products.
