One of the most recent photographs on the Bergamo area, provided by the Region, indicated 75 “deficient areas”, essentially 75 places to be filled in the clinics (of which 8 between neighboring cities and municipalities). And if every doctor should theoretically have 1,500 patients, on paper there would be 112,500 Bergamo without a doctor (of which 12 thousand between cities and neighboring municipalities). “The Region may well say that the number of places in the course is increasing, but the problem is that the places available now are no longer covered – comments Guido Marinoni, president of the Bergamo Medical Association -: the reason is there for all to see. , the attractiveness of the profession is lower and lower “.
