In March 2024, industry producer prices decrease by 0.2% month-on-month and by 9.6% year-on-year (March 2023 – March 2024, it was -10.8% in February). This was announced by Istat.
On the domestic market, prices fell by 0.4% compared to February and by 12.7% on an annual basis (from -14.2% in the previous month). Net of the energy sector, prices grew modestly (+0.1%) and recorded a steady decline at -2.2%.
On the foreign market, prices remain unchanged on a monthly basis (+0.1% euro area, -0.2% non-euro area) and decline by 1.2% on an annual basis (-2.0% euro area, -0 .5% non-euro area).
