Google, the new smartphones will arrive in Italy in 2022

by admin

There was a surprise. Google has decided to return to Italy with its smartphones. After the decision not to distribute the fifth generation on our market, at Moutain View they have reconsidered and from spring the Pixel 6 and its older brother the Pro will also land in Spain, but only starting from the spring of next year. Evidently, trust in our country has returned in terms of smartphone demand, or more likely this time Google is sure to have a product that is different from the competition, with competitive prices and something more in terms of artificial intelligence. But let’s see how they are made.

How they are made

Let’s start with the smallest: the Pixel 6 has a 6.4 ”Amoled Fhd + display with 90Hz refresh rate, 3 4615 mAh batteries. There are two cameras, the main one from 50 Mp and a wide angle from 12 Mp. The price? Good for being mid-range: 649 euros. More interesting is the Pixel 6 Pro which shows top player features at a price more in line with the times: 899 euros. The display is a 6.7 ”LTP QHD with variable refresh rate up to 120Hz, 5000 mAh battery and three rear cameras: the main 50 megapixel camera, a 4x 48 MP telephoto lens and a 12 MP wide angle lens.

The real novelty is the Google Tensor processor

There is expectation to see the Google Tensor processor at work, the real novelty of the house, the first hardware system entirely engineered by Big G. The name evokes the Tensor Processing Units that Google uses within its datacenters. The choice is to increasingly integrate artificial intelligence into the smartphone. The TPU (the Neural Processing Unit as defined by the competition) will be used for the acceleration of calculations related to machine learning and the Titan processor for security and cryptographic keys. Google has said it has been supporting the two phones in the Pixel 6 range for a full five years.
