Graphene to recover oil: green light of the US EPA to Directa Plus

The impending energy crisis and the increase in energy prices require the recovery of efficiency in all fields connected with the use of fuels by combining economic and environmental value.

In this context, Directa Plus, a company specializing in the production of graphene-based products, has announced that it has received the authorization of the EPA, the Federal Environmental Protection Agency of the United States, for the use of its technology in all the recovery processes of hydrocarbons.

In fact, its Grafysorber makes it possible to recover the oil lost in all industrial processes, turning it into an important resource for companies at this juncture. It is no coincidence that the news was greeted by a sharp rise in Directa Plus shares on the London Stock Exchange, where it jumped up to 8 per cent in the morning, and then downsized and limited earnings to less than one percent.

The EPA decision opens up the US market where annual oil consumption is 7.2 billion barrels.

The Grafysorber is made with physical processes only, (very high temperature) and without the use of chemical additives, it has a selective absorbing capacity with respect to the hydrocarbons present in the water and allows its subsequent recovery, not only in the case of accidental spills into the sea, but also within industrial processes.
