Great performance upgrade! The new Switch exposure: will support NVIDIA ray tracing | XFastest News

At the end of last month, Nintendo confirmed that the release date of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel was postponed to spring 2023, and a trailer was released at the same time.

Some analysts said after watching the video that the trailer may be running on the next-generation Switch, because the current Switch simply cannot reach the level of the trailer screen.

Earlier news revealed that the next-generation Switch will be equipped with NVIDIA’s new custom GPU wafer (codenamed T239).

It is reported that this wafer uses an Ampere architecture GPU and supports light tracking and the latest DLSS 2.2.

In terms of specific specifications, this wafer has 2048 stream processors, and the CPU uses a 12-core A78AE core, which is a great upgrade in performance compared to the current Tegra-X1 processor used by the Switch.

In addition, according to VGChartz statistics, the total sales of Nintendo Switch has reached 103 million units, surpassing Sony PlayStation (PS1) to become the fifth best-selling console in history. If the new Switch is launched, sales will usher in even greater growth.
