Sore and bleeding gums? It is not a disorder to be underestimated because those suffering from periodontitis run more risk of suffering from hypertension. This was stated in a recent joint document that Sidp (Italian Society of Periodontology and Implantology) produced together with Siia (Italian Society of Arterial Hypertension) and published in the journal Hypertension.

This is why, on the occasion of the third national periodontitis day, the focus is on the prevention of these two diseases.
