The head of the health portfolio, Dr. Luis Medina Ruiz, recently met with key figures in the medical field to discuss strategies for collaboration. The meeting included the dean of the UNT Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Mateo Martínez, the dean of the Higher School of Medicine of Mar del Plata, Dr. Adrián Alasino, and Dr. Eugenia Quinteros Nelle, a representative of the Valles Calchaquíes Operational Area.

During the meeting, Dr. Medina Ruiz highlighted the importance of exchanging experiences between medical students and professionals in different regions of Argentina. Dean Martínez expressed gratitude for the ongoing collaboration and mentioned plans to further integrate the residency system of the Ministry of Health of Tucumán with universities in Mar del Plata and the province.

Dr. Alasino praised the Ministry of Health for their agreement with the UNT, which allows final year medical students to participate in a health camp in the Calchaquí valleys. He emphasized the unique learning opportunities in rural areas compared to urban settings.

The meeting also involved discussions on expanding the collaboration to provide more practical training opportunities for medical students. Dr. Quinteros Nelle, who works in the Valles Calchaquíes Operational Area, highlighted the importance of sharing experiences and learning from different training stages.
