The 2nd Congress of Aesthetic Medicine hosted by the Society of Dominican Aesthetic Medicine (SOMED) took place in the stunning location of Punta Cana, bringing together nearly 200 specialized doctors in various branches of aesthetic medicine. This event served as a valuable meeting point for the exchange of knowledge and experiences.

With over 40 high-level presentations and live demonstrations showcasing the latest aesthetic techniques and procedures backed by scientific evidence, participants were able to learn from experts in the field. Notable speakers included Dr. Luis Alberto Parra from Colombia, Dr. Sofía Ruiz del Cueto from Spain, Dr. Carlos Rosales from Guatemala, Dr. José Ramón Saucillo from Mexico, and Dr. Samara Veras from Brazil.

The academic support for the congress was provided by the Pedro Henríquez Ureña National University (UNPHU), recognizing the importance of continuous training for aesthetic health professionals. The event also received support from international scientific societies such as the Latin American and Caribbean Council of Aesthetic Medicine (CLADEMA) and the International Society of Facial Rejuvenation (SIRF).

National entities including the Dominican Association of Oculoplasty (ASODOCU), the Dominican Society of Aesthetic and Anti-Aging Medicine (SODOMEYA), and the Dominican Association of Aesthetic Medicine and Longevity (ADOMELL) showed their commitment to advancing Aesthetic medicine in the country.

During the congress, SOMED was recognized by CLADEMA for their efforts in organizing the event and their contributions to Latin American Aesthetic Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Dolly Nin Cavallo was acknowledged for her contributions and legacy to Dominican Aesthetic Medicine.

The 2nd SOMED Aesthetic Medicine Congress served as a platform for learning, networking, and professional development in the field of aesthetic medicine, promoting excellence and advancement for the health and well-being of individuals.
