HomeOS information appeared on Apple’s website before WWDC

by admin

Before the WWDC Developer Conference kicked off next Monday (June 7), some developers saw the unpublished “homeOS” by Apple in an advertisement on Apple’s official recruitment website. HomeOS appeared twice in job advertisements, alongside other Apple operating systems, such as iOS, watchOS, and tvOS. According to Apple, homeOS is a mobile platform.

Earlier, it was rumored that Apple was developing a new product integrating Apple TV and HomePod. Some foreign websites conflated this rumor with the emergence of homeOS. It is estimated that homeOS will be a new system for smart home products. There is also a chance that tvOS and AudioOS was renamed and repackaged. In fact, Apple has renamed the system used by the iPad to iPadOS in the past, and OS X has also been renamed to macOS.

After foreign media reported on homeOS, the content of the relevant job advertisements has been modified by Apple. The original homeOS has become HomePod. As to whether homeOS will appear in the short term, we must pay attention to the announcement of WWDC next week.
