improves the quality of life of patients

Good news from the Ministry of Health: the quality of transplants that have been performed in Italy has significantly improved in recent years and the outcome of Italian transplants is comparable or even higher than that of the main European countries.

The main international registers highlight it, and the National Transplant Centerwhich made available the latest results of the quality assessment of heart, liver, kidney (for the period from 2000 to 2008), intestine (from 2001 to 2009) and hematopoietic stem cells (from 2000 to 2007) .

These data refer to the reintegration into the normal social life of the transplant patient, and show that they work (or that in any case they would be perfectly able to do so), and therefore that they have been fully reintegrated into normal social activity, 90.3 percent of Italian patients undergoing heart transplantation, 79.9 percent of those who underwent liver transplantation and 90.1 percent of those who have a new kidney.
