New General Practitioners to Provide Healthcare Services at Casa della Salute in Livorno
A new chapter in healthcare services in Livorno has begun with the introduction of six general practitioners who will provide medical care at Casa della Salute “Livorno Sud” in Ardenza. The decision to seize this opportunity was made by doctors Diego Rossi, Marco Pampaloni, Chiara Cristiano, Filippo Vitiello, Cecilia Giovannetti, and Fabio Donati, in collaboration with the USL Tuscany North West.
Cinzia Porra, director of the Livorno District Area, expressed that the addition of these general practitioners completes the project of Casa della Salute in Via del Mare, offering citizens a convenient and accessible location for their health and social needs. This facility will be the first in Livorno, among seven community houses, to offer such services as blood tests, clinics, Cup booking offices, health registry, family and community nurses, as well as specialist clinics.
The integration of general medicine within the company structure will facilitate multidisciplinary care for patients, especially those with chronic and complex conditions. It will also enable preventive initiatives to improve people’s lifestyles and overall well-being. Mayor Luca Salvetti emphasized that the dedication and professionalism of these doctors will be crucial for the success of this initiative.
Gabriele Morotti, administrative director of the North West Tuscany Local Health Authority, highlighted the importance of establishing fundamental services in new territories to comply with regulatory provisions. The collaboration between family doctors and specialists, along with various healthcare services, will ensure efficient and effective care for citizens.
Massimo Angeletti, Aft Livorno coordinator, expressed his excitement over the progress made in expanding healthcare services. Thanks to the partnership with USL and the addition of new doctors, the level of services offered has been enhanced, striking a balance between widespread availability in the territory and centralized office resources.
